The Client is the UK’s leading IT Infrastructure, network & connectivity company with expertise throughout the datacentre, office & smart building technology. They employ 500+ staff across five EMEA offices and deliver a comprehensive portfolio of services.

The Brief

Because of winning an IT Transformation bid, the Client appointed Imperative People to recruit a Prince 2 Project Manager experienced delivering Enterprise LAN projects, although the technical projects would encompass several technologies such as data networking, telecommunications, desktop, cabling infrastructure, collaboration, application, datacentre, physical access control etc. The key attributes that the Client were looking for was a Senior Project Manager who possess natural gravitas and has extensive experience delivering Enterprise LANs and associated Infrastructure.

The Strategy

Imperative have an extensive database of networking and infrastructure project managers which have been contacted in the past for other similar roles. We were able to call upon this network of unique project manager contacts, as well as perform traditional referral-based headhunting and advertising across major job board platforms.

Before starting Sourcing for the role, we had one in-depth meeting with the Head of Project Management which allowed us to break the Job Spec down and get to the core of what he was looking for in terms of technical project exposure. This enabled our Senior Recruiter to source with laser focus with optimum results quickly and saving the client time filtering and interviewing.

The client was able to deploy the recruited Project Manager onto immediate chargeable work and go onto deliver to the client’s expectations, timescales and budget.
