Recruiting for Solution Architects

The Client is one of UK’s leading IT, communications and cloud providers with c4,000 employees and 30+ locations nationwide.

The Brief

Because of winning a major £ multi-million project, the Solutions Practice team needed to recruit a Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect to help deliver the projects. The brief was to find an experienced, customer-facing Solutions Architect with extensive exposure designing and implementing Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions. Imperative competed against five plus other IT Recruitment Agencies and found the winning candidates.

Within week one, Imperative had a short-listed six top Solution Architect candidates with the right back ground in Microsoft Azure. Despite only having the requirement for one position, the Client went on to employ two of our candidates.

The Strategy

Led by a Senior Recruiter who designed an end-to-end recruitment strategy focused on engaging both active and passive candidates. We were able to attract and engage active candidates through outbound advertising and marketing activity and via referral-based head hunting and social sourcing techniques including designing LinkedIn projects and X-ray searchers to uncover untapped Azure Solutions Architect.

The Client successfully hired two high calibre architects which are fully utilised and billable on the project ensuring the companies solution delivery timescales and profitability targets are met.
