The Client

The Client is one of UK’s leading IT, communications and cloud providers with c4,000 employees and 30+ nationwide offices. This is a fantastic company with an impressive history and bright future.

The Brief

The Client needed to recruit a Network Security Consultant to the Network & Security Delivery team with expertise in Next-Generation Palo Alto Security Products. It was important that the right candidate was happy to travel to client sites and stay overnight to meet customer engagements and possessed good documentation and communications skills.

The Strategy

Before any recruitment activity took place, we ensured we had an in-depth call with the Hiring Manager about what exactly they were looking for and understanding the key skills needed. From these conversations we understood that the Palo Alto skills already existed within the team, and established they needed a PCNSE 8.0 Palo Alto Certified Consultant whose focus is security, to take a lead. With this information at hand, we were able to design a recruitment strategy aimed at attracting and engaging the right type of candidate. We did this using a combination of internal database searches, social media platforms and advertising to secure the most relevant and suited candidates. Our consultant then conducted a vigorous screening process before presenting the top candidates for the role.

Despite being multi agency working in competition with other IT Recruitment Agencies, Imperative were able to fill the position within a three-week period and were able to deploy the Palo Alto services to their client. In the first week our IT Recruiter identified 14 candidates, screened 10 and presented 2 to the Hiring Manager. Both candidates were interviewed, both suitable and one was offered and accepted.
