Back End Developer, PHP 7, Go, Java, Node, Microservices , Senior Developer, PHP MySQL

Leading Comparison Website Company urgently seek Senior Back End Developer

You will work as part of a small team of back-end developers working on a market leading platform. You will need to work closely with the frontend team, designer and project manager to deliver a robust and scalable platform.

Your day to day responsibilities will include hands on development, mentoring junior members of the team, ensuring development standards are met and followed, reviewing pull requests, helping in requirement gathering where required, engaging with the frontend team to ensure cohesive solutions and architectures are designed and participating in daily stand ups.

Keys skills

  • 2+ years working in a microservices environment
  • 2+ years of building enterprise services in either Go, Java, Node or PHP
  • Strong Backend Developer
  • Strong PHP 7 knowledge
  • Working with a PHP MVC framework (ideally Laravel)
  • Comfortable writing efficient MySQL queries and understands best practices
  • Integrating with 3rd parties via APIs
  • Implementing test-driven development practices
  • 3+ years' experience building enterprise grade software solutions
  • The ability to work in a close-knit team and independently

Nice to have skills:

  • Background knowledge of Fintech (insurance)
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience building micro services in PHP(Laravel/Lumen)
  • Working knowledge of React or similar front end library
