Head of Technical Operations, Telecoms Manager, Engineering Manager, Network Operations Manager, 

Impressive Telecoms Networks Services and Network Provider urgently seek a strong leader of people who will develop the overall Technical/Engineering teams.

The role will also be responsible for the Strategy, leadership and management of all technical including Network Operations Centre, Design and Infrastructure, Field Engineers and Internal IT all aspects of technical operations.

You will be the ‘go-to-person’ and authority within the business to take responsibility for the implementation of network and infrastructure development, working alongside the leadership team to deliver the technical roadmap.

This impressive and rapidly growing SME business requires an industry-leading network and infrastructure platform that can continue to grow and scale with increasing customer volumes and application requirements. The role will ensure that the underlying infrastructure platforms provide robust stability, reliability, high performance and security. You will ensure it is financially and commercially super-efficient which drives a solid cost-of-sale and real value for the channel partners.

You will bring extensive industry knowledge to the senior management team.  Providing essential technical input and guidance.  You will combine technical and engineering attributes along with commercial and practical flair and capability to challenge, influence, shape and change the business portfolio to ensure we can sustain growth, remain current and meet and exceed customer needs. 

You will investigate, understand, validate and prove the services and team capabilities across the technical portfolio. You will lead strategy, engineering and development of our core networks, deliver the network strategy and engage with key vendors to manage incidents effectively, reduce CoS and increase market share through constant improvements in operational efficiency and skills within the wider engineering function. 

Accountabilities: Duties and business objectives of the role will include:

  • Own and manage the ultimate plan, tactics and strategic direction of the network and infrastructure platform to ensure it meets the business objectives and overall vision of CaaS.
  • Lead, manage, support, guide and mentor the technical team across the business, driving high performance and strong succession.
  • Work alongside the leadership team consistently explore product, service and hardware R&D, bringing learnings into the business to enable continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly network and infrastructure controls and management, developing industry best-practice when it comes to capacity planning, performance management and engineering.
  • Work alongside the Leadership team, to identify commercial innovation through the design and deployment of technology to improve the customer experience and product and service value.
  • Drive robust and industry-leading compliance and governance across our network and infrastructure and ensure we are securely protecting our customers and employees in their digital connectivity requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership in the execution of any M&A transactions or large scale outsource programs where will be acquiring or inheriting network or infrastructure

    platforms. This will include due diligence pre-deal, transition and transformation, post-deal.

  • Own and manage the budget, including cap-ex and op-ex, of the network and infrastructure platform.


  • Proven background in Telecoms in a Senior Technical Management, Strategic and Operational roles managing managers and their technical teams within an SP Telecoms Environment.
